What does it take to heal the body?
People don't realize how much their taste buds will change over time. Until then we need to get creative and eat fresh produce even when we don't feel like it. Once we leave out all the other stuff and give it time we won't crave it anymore. I have wrote about that before in my last article, Addiction and the foods killing you! I talked about how we 0nly crave the substances that we have used before.

Addiction and the foods you are eating
Did you know that the very "food" you are addicted to and can't stop eating is the very substances destroying your health? We are addicted to the very things killing us, This is a problem!
Below is a video! This is one doctor I actually enjoy listening too lol! He is a Cardiologist and speaks the truth about the food people eat and how it effects our bodies. I found this video about addiction to be specifically important because I see this addiction every day in my life. I have personally been dealing with some food addiction. In fact before I decided to go without certain foods, I never considered myself addicted to anything! Now I really can see just how foods effect me and just how addicted I was to them throughout my life. I also see it in members of my family and from people everywhere.
Little do we know that we are addicted to the drugs in foods and the drug foods like coffee, sugar, dairy. This is the real epidemic out there in this world, and it's just as real as a meth addiction. And it's just as damaging as a heroin addiction. The worst part is no one even realizes it or seems to care! In fact when you change to a clean fruit/plant based diet you will most likely be ridiculed and shamed. People (generally speaking) are so addicted to their "foods" that they feel threatened when you suggest eating any different. Even in people who are sick, fat and tired. They just don't see through the addictions and just how much they need to change. Believe me, I know lol! It's like the meth head saying they don't have a problem but consistently trying to get others to do it with them. Misery loves company and addicts do too!
This type of addiction to processed aka, drug foods is destroying people at a rapid pace! They are blinded. and blind sided by it! When we eat these foods we are so numb and dumbed down. It blinds us to what we really need to be healthy. It makes people look down on those who want to do differently, and make those changes. I am speaking from my experience. I can also say that many people t I know have been a big support. I thank you if you are one of those people :) Sure it is easy to think that meth head over there is addicted. But no one wants to point that finger back at themselves and see their coffee addiction, cheese addiction, bread addictions. The fact that they can't even go one week, or one month in their life without it should prove enough!
From my experience the only way to stop this addiction is to STOP consuming it and effectively detox the body so that you never want it again. Why? Because we we can only crave what we have consumed before. If you never used heroin, you will never crave heroin, right? If you have never been a cigarette smoker you will never crave cigarettes. It is that simple but like any addiction it may be difficult to kick. Unfortunately if you have ever ate pizza, French fries, donuts, etc.. you will definitely crave it at some point in the day, week or month. And no amount of those foods are healthy for you. But you can detox the body from all of these drugs and eliminate your desire to ever have them.
Addiction begets addiction, disease begets more disease, remember that!
Not one natural food, eaten in a natural way is addicting. Once you are on the journey you will see this for yourself. I certainly have learned this lesson from experience. I have seen the difference between eating clean and eating addictive substances. You can go off track so easily just like any other addiction. You just got to keep practicing it! Need to keep staying on track with your goals of freedom from addiction and you will get there.
Health is more important than anything you are addicted too!
If you don't believe that you are addicted to the processed foods you eat, try going without them. You will feel and see that you are in fact addicted to it. For example if you think that you aren't addicted to bread products for example, stop eating it! If you think that you are not addicted to coffee, try going without it. What about the cheese that people tell me they cannot live without? If you can't go without it, even though it is better for you not to have it, you are addicted! These substances offer nothing in the way of nutrition or anything good for your body, yet you consume them every day. You are tired, and bloated every day! Yet you still put these things in your mouth! YOU ARE ADDICTED so wake up about it and start making changes every day to free yourself from it.
Try eliminating these things from your diet and you will see just what a junky you are! Like wise after some time off the stuff you will see how much better you can feel.
It will take some will power at first, and you will need to remove all of the old waste from your bowels. You will need to eat a clean or cleaner diet. You will even need to get rid of candida and parasites from your body too. Once you bring balance to your body with fasting, eliminating waste and right eating, you will over come any addiction! You can check out my step by step plan to wean yourself off of addictive animal based foods and all processed foods. And just get going on this! Your life depends on it and you are most definably worth more than the drugs you are eating. Isn't your life worth more than pizza? Than why do you trade your life for pizza? Why are you feeding drugs to your kids? These are things I think about all the time. It keeps me going. I want to be a great example to my children. I want to show them that there is a better way.
By the way eating clean and feeling your best is NOT about living forever. I get that objection all the time from people. God knows how long you have. I am 42 years old and if I die at 80 I am half way through my life right now. Eating clean is about feeling your best now, living your best life now! Being free NOW from addiction and a dependency on Industry garbage! Life is short and you don't want to make it shorter. Don't you want to have a better quality of life? Because that is what this is all about. When it comes to food it is quality, not quantity! The same good go for life. Certainly we want to live 100 years, but most people do not. What about having the best quality of a life that you can no matter how long that ends up being?

A Step by Step Eating Plan Made for You!
Allow the body to cleanse and heal itself.
A STEP BY STEP PLAN for My friend Nicole and anyone who wants to know exactly how to transition to a plant based diet, and begin the healing process for themselves.
- If you must have a grain like rice once in awhile please choose long grain brown rice, quinoa and gluten free oats. That way you get fiber and nutrition that you need while transitioning to a more mucus free diet of mostly fresh raw foods. Organic is always best of course. In the case of brown rice and quinoa eat it with a lot of veggies, and greens NOT A PROTEIN, for proper digestion and elimination. Oats can be included with lots of fruit for, and a bit of honey or agave for a sweet and filing meal.
- Eat real food instead. Fruit for breakfast ALWAYS, avocado instead of cheeses, and home made nut based salad dressings, instead of the milk and soy based variety. if you want a breakfast that is filling and healthy choose fruit only, or the oatmeal with lots of fruit. If you must eat yogurt, learn how to make it yourself from oat milk, cashew milk, or coconut milk. Obviously it is best to make these items yourself too. YouTube and a Google search can help you with that.
- Include green tea with honey or agave, hot lemon water or herbal tea instead. You may also make lemonade sweetened with a good quality natural sweetener. And don't forget that pure water is also a good option lol!
- You should use whole beans, legumes as a meat substitute, which is better. Soak them over night and use a slow cooker for easy preparation in the morning. Beans are great on top of salads too! Proteins such as beans, legumes, meats must be eaten with vegetables and greens ONLY for better digestion and elimination. Eating proteins with grains, bread products is a bad idea and will not help the digestion of these hard to digest foods, and cause proteins to sit in the intestines to long.
- Remember beans, legumes and certain meats are fine for transitioning and a few times per week but only eaten with greens salads and or vegetables. The bulk of your diet should consist of FRUIT, AND EASILY DIGESTED GREENS AND VEGGIES. An optimal cleansing and healing diet consists of at least 75% fresh, ripe raw fruit, greens and vegetables. For cooked options; you may steam your veggies if you have a problem digesting them raw. Also simple salads with lots of raw water rich greens is best. You may use baked or steamed veggies for a salad topping also. Choose a fruit based or nut based dressing that you make at home. Stewed fruit in a bit of lemon juice is a nice cooked fruit option as well.
- If you are like me and have GI issues, then you will understand why I mention this step. Spicy foods may taste good but they are not good for your Gastrointestinal Tract at all, especially if you already have digestion issues. Spicy veggies, foods can prove to be a real pain in the ass on your next bowel movement, if you know what I mean. It's just better to avoid foods that literally burn your insides. Choose healing herbs instead, turmeric is a great one to add into your diet daily. If you want a little spice that won't burn you, choose garlic and ginger instead.
- Breakfast at noon is a great place to start, that is what I have been doing for a few years. Also stop eating by the evening like 7 or 8pm. Adjust times to fit your schedule of course, but make sure there is about 15-20 hours of the day, including sleeping when you are not eating. Activity is fine during intermittent fasting just not for a long term fasting session of more than a day. Rest during long fasts for best results. The point of fasting is to simply give the body a break. Consider that the most energy demanding activity that the body performs is digestion. When the body is digesting all the time, especially while sleeping it uses up available energy that the body needs for the healing process. This is why sleeping on a full stomach is not a good idea, because that is when the body does most of it's healing. You should stop eating a couple hours before going to bed. Likewise get enough sleep too!
